Governance, Compliance and Assurance
Garry Edwards is a highly experienced business, finance and governance professional whose career has included senior executive, board, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary positions across listed companies, private organisations and the not-for-profit sector. Garry holds a Master of Business Administration and is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Institute of Public Accountants. His extensive career has provided him with considerable experience across corporate governance, regulatory compliance, financial management, audit, risk and organisational oversight.
As a member of the EL Care Advisory Council, Garry provides an important independent perspective in the areas of governance, compliance and assurance. His experience in working with boards, executive teams and regulated organisations enables him to provide considered guidance around organisational accountability, effective governance and the systems and processes required to ensure EL Care continues to meet its responsibilities as the organisation develops and grows.
Garry believes that strong governance, compliance and assurance should ultimately be measured by the outcomes they help an organisation achieve for the people it serves. He is committed to applying his considerable professional experience to support EL Care in maintaining high standards of accountability and assurance, and to helping ensure older Australians receive safe, reliable and high-quality care from an organisation in which they and their families can have confidence.
